Solution
The I7s have around 30% higher productivity compared to I5 when multitasking which is going to your case. I would recommend going with the I7.

The 4790K is cheaper than 4770K and higher performing due to its higher frequency. The 4790K runs at 4.0 GHz while the 4770K runs at 3.5. The 4790K is a refresh of 4770K and has "as Intel advertised" better thermal interface material which results in lower temperatures.

The 4790k does seem better suited for your case, as well as you don't really have a limiting budget. Going I7 instead of I5 will ensure a longer life span of your system, so you don't have to upgrade for a longer period of time.
