Lag after putting new cpu cooler in temps 24C

So I recently installed my new Be quiet cooler on my I7 4790K with a MSI Gaming 5 Z97 board and i started to have audio crackling and extreme lag in games my temps are 24C average i'm afraid i might of damaged my Mobo

Specs

I7 4790K
Msi gaming 5 Z97
Msi Gtx 970
Corsair CX 750
8gb Ram

Please help

Are you saying 24C is hot? You might have put the Thermal paste wrong. Did you use a small pea in the middle or just random lines?

If you fix the thermal paste you see no difference please respond here. Sometimes if you put thermal paste wrong, your temps could be fine but the cpus start glitching.

Did you wipe anything on the mobo? Like a paper towel of some sort?

You do know 24 C is only 75 F? Which is nigh impossible under load unless you have exotic cooling. Is your pc outside by any chance?
