CPU - Intel Core i5 4460 3.20GHz Socket 1150
GPU - Asus R9 270 2GB GDDR5
MOBO - Gigabyte GA-Z97P-D3 Socket 1150
RAM - Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Vengeance

Plus i'm looking to keep the price under £40

500w is fine. That unit is fine, but I would grab the 500B as it is slightly better quality.

That EVGA 500W will work just fine for your needs. If you must choose another I would recommend choosing any other 80+ bronze PSU that is at least 500 watts and is a reliable brand like Corsair, XFX, Seasonic, etc. Other than that the PSU you linked is fine.

kk thanks. Is that the minimum you need in terms of wattage. Of course i still want max performance without over clocking. my budget is around like £450

Just get the EVGA. NEVER cheap out on a PSU. It is 100000% the single most important part of the PC. Why risk your entire computer to a junk PSU?

Get the 550. More room for upgrades and it costs $8 more.

No reason to get 450w here. That just limits yourself.
