The 1866 has wider bandwidth and will perform better overall, especially with Haswell that loves fast DRAM, these days you can often find 2133 and even 2400 DRAM in the same pricepoint (which is even better i.e. the Egg has the 2400/10 Tridents 2x4GB for $75
