So I currently have a non-tiered P.S.U. from Raidmax and it's just not adequate. I found out a couple of weeks ago from another person on here that I should never buy anything without a tier rating. Well my P.S.U. finally is showing obvious signs of degradation and I have the funds to replace (somewhat) and I have a candidate for purchasing but I don't understand the dimension limitations.

MOBO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130679&cm_re=970a-g43-_-13-130-679-_-Product

Tower: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156063&cm_re=Raidmax_tower-_-11-156-063-_-Product

Current PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152035&cm_re=raidmax_power_supply-_-17-152-035-_-Product

The dimensions for the current PSU are (6.5" x 3.5" x 6") and the one I want is (5.51" x 5.9" x 3.39")

There are so many factors that I need to take into account when purchasing this thing, modular, wattage, dimensions, Voltage, etc.

I know what I need for wattage I just don't understand the dimensions, i don't know if there is any room for error. Is the tower like a set size and then anything can fit with the right screws and as long as it is less that the size of the tower? I just don't know and I don't want to impulse buy and have to go through the ordeal of returning and waiting even longer.

If you need anymore information about my PC just ask, I am at a loss and desperately need guidance.

If the PSU is ATX and your case is a ATX or mATX case then they are the ATX standard in height and width. Thus the only factor is depth and PSUs that are not 1000w very high end ones are all normal depth.

You did not post the psu you want so I cant guarantee anything but most likely you will have no issues.

For future reference I would stay away from raidmax cases as well.
You could have gotten a much nicer case with better features for less (and would be less ostentatious)

Are they really that bad? I figured since it has the bronze tier thingy it was all good. I mean I understand the whole more money better quality and there are somethings that you should spend a little more money is a very good idea but to be honest man lol I am broke.

This might be a good candidate(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371066), 24 pin, 750w, ATX, my mobo is ATX so then it would work? oh and it's Antec.

Bingo! That's a good one.
