Motherboard for Intel i7-4790K: Asus vs. Gigabyte

Hello everyone!

I was browsing Newegg for a motherboard for an Intel i7-4790K and came across one that seemed pretty good. The motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SOC LGA 1150 and the only reason why I ask is because I have never had experience with Gigabyte. The motherboard I was checking out previously was an ASUS Z97-A and I was wondering if I should choose the Gigabyte over the Asus. Also, if it changes the response at all, this will be entirely for gaming.

I'd go the Asus, the Z97-A is a great mobo - have done 8 client builds with it and all are thrilled with, both for gaming and serious heavy use ;)

Asus is the better choice than Gigabyte.... asus z97- A motherboard is better from Gigabyte GA Z97X SOC.. asus beats gigabyte in overclocking, Gaming and other.... Asus is the best in motherboards.. asus technoogy is best from gigabyte.. and asus z97-A motherboard beats some gigabyte boards in overclocking
