Hi there, I just purchased a Lenovo Laptop with Windows 8.1 and am quite happy with it so far, its very responsive and seems to perform well but I removed a tonne of Lenovo bloatware and noticed when I rebooted after a few updates that a lot of the metro apps in the app list when you click the down arrow to view "7 new apps installed" it showed a bunch of them that I had removed again such as Daily Telegraph for Lenovo or their version of Dropbox all were back again. Obviously the programs I removed from control panel were gone, its just the windows 8 crap thats keeps popping up again. And a McAffee app also reappeared. Does anyone know of a way to remove these permanently? Is it worth me doing a factory reset to avoid having problems with the recently revealled malware that Lenovo have apparently been installing?

Ok thanks for clarifying. However I thought, and I may be misinformed, that there was a new option in Windows 8.1 that allowed you to revert Windows to a clean, basic windows instance or setup... not sure how best to describe but hopefully you'll know what I mean

Has anyone else got any tips on how to remove this apps permanently?
