Combine diffent ram kits

Solution
Have my doubts about the combo working, but if you try go (from CPU - 4-2-4-2 so you have 6GB in each channel) try the DRAM voltage at 1.6 and may have to add a pinch extra to the CPU/NB volatge - if problems give us a shout

It will likely work, but it will downclock the ram to the lowest performance for all variables between all the kits. Judging by your CPU, it is doubtful you are running programs that will fully utilize 8GB, but nothings stopping you from slapping another 4GB in there.

Thanks for the quick reply , my target is 12gb so that i can run 1 vm box, phpstorm ,photoshop and many browsers/tabs.
If i understand correctly it will downgrade the clocks of corsair to 10-10-10-30 right? Also should it be configured as 2+4 in channel A and 2+4 at channel B or 2+2 at channel A and 4+4 at channel B?

If you own them, go ahead and try.
If you are thinking of buying, I would not.
The xms3 is 1.65v ram, the fury is 1.5v ram.
All ram must be managed at the same voltage, speed and timings.
In addition, managing 4 sticks vs. 2 makes it harder for the motherboard to manage.
If you want 12gb, best to buy a 16 gb kit of 2 x 8gb.
