I am willing to pay up to 1,400$ for all of the parts, and I'm looking for something along the lines of a 64bit MS Windows 7, with atleast 500GB or up to 1 terrabyte of hard-drive space, and 8GB to 16GB of RAM. Also, I'm wondering how to accessorize it, like my friend's, with glowing insides and blackenned glass. [Will link get a picture next time I have the chance].

I will probably update the question as I create the gaming pc, so it'd be nice if some of the people who answer for me could checkback every once in a while.

Something like this would be good if you're looking for small form factor that you can build a custom case around. It'll max out current games but only has a small footprint and even with Windows and an SSD added there will be plenty of your budget left over for a really awesome case.

If you're not looking for a small footprint then you're even less limited. The main issue with this build would be if you wanted to overclock the cpu and gpu as the cpu isn't overclockable and the gpu is a compact version.

Yes, I can easily put them together, and I'm basically starting from scratch. I grew up the son of a jet part builder at barnes aerospace, so construction isn't a problem; I just need some recommendations for the best pieces to build a gaming computer. So list things like the graphics cards type, or whether I use intel, or something else, etcetera.

That kind of thing wasn't very important, when I said stuff about accessories, I was just trying to put some style into the sentence. More the less, it was part of the question, and I guess what I was REALLY asking there was how to cover up the mother board, processors, hard drive, etcetera (all the inside parts) fashionably.

A good way to make an interesting case is to look at the stuff the guys over at miniITX are putting together. (Note, gaming pcs are a little more difficult to do this sort of thing to, some guys make a pc case shaped like the tower of sauron.) Here's an example mini ITX build http://yourpsychogirlfriend.com/beav/specs.htm

Covering up parts is a good way to cause air circulation issues, you're better off spending a little extra to get fashionable parts that will match each other and a case with a window. Do you have a color scheme and style preference? Red/Hard edges, White/Rounded, Black/Boxy?

Sorry for the misunderstanding, when I said covering it up I just meant how the outside would look. (I have trouble explaining things correctly due to speaking defects.)
More the less, the outside would be appealing to me if it had the middle made of glass, borders would be black, silver, or white, and it'd be a basic cuboid(Three dimensional rectangle).

Seems nice. I might use it.
Without bias or any concern of the other case, do you know any websites or places I can go to in-order to get a custom case built for me? I'd really like to see if I could get someone who has some sort of verified scholarship or certification to help with this; I severely want to make the case look good. (In-fact, I might even buy something that's useless but still looks good, and there's the bad part about building this comp.)

Asked 8 ball if I should give the best solution to qwerty. It told me no, so I'll use your list of parts.

Thanks 8 ball!

Remember, my build is specifically targeted towards compactness. If you decide to go for a giant custom case then the parts I would choose are different such as a longer cooler on the GPU and an ATX or mATX motherboard.

Regardless, those parts will have no troubles maxxing out today's games, enjoy the build and take photos and show us if you design/buy/build an amazing custom case!
