As stated in the title, for some reason I can't get my PC to stop crashing and giving BSODs. I have tried Vista, W7, W8.1 and XP, and get the same few BSOD bug names on everything except XP. I will post a log as soon as I am home, but the errors, to name a few, were irql_not_less_or_equal, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT and PFN_LIST_CORRUPT.

The PC is an m8200n HP tower (GN551AA-ABA). There is one 2GB RAM stick installed, but everything else is stock. The current BIOS version is 5.20, with 5.27 being the latest available). Most drivers online are only for Vista, but ideally I would like to have this machine running Windows 7 or 8.1.

I've run a memtest without any errors, and have tried to manage installing missing drivers before a crash would occur.

Again, on Windows XP the computer doesn't seem to crash (or at least not nearly as much). What could be the issue here?

I think that the problem is caused by the ram or the chipset. Passed memtest doesn't guarantee that the RAM is ok.
You can confirm that your hardware is problably ok by using live USB/DVD with Ubuntu on it for a couple of hours.
You can record a flash drive by using this guide: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/create-a-usb-stick-on-windows
There are also a lot of other methods to do this.
Be careful: the software will delete all files on the flash drive.
It is better to record the flash drive on other computer.
