I have bought a GA-965P-DS3 Rev.3.3 motherboard. it does not have onboard video. The video card it needs will go in the PCIE-16 Slot.

Alomost any PCI-E GPU will work, but what's the purpose of that system? That should dictate the GPU.

Buy the model and brand that you prefer; a PCI-E slot doesn't care. What's the purpose of that system and what CPU is or will be installed?

Thank you for your reply. The CPU is an Intel Core 2 Duo processor E4400, 2.0GHZ speed, FSB is 800 MHz, Cache is 2MB L2.
The power unit for the computer is 650 Watts 24 Pin ATX.
I do not think it will be used for gaming.

If it's for Internet browsing and office applications, then the NVidia GT 730 will be enough. You could consider a lesser GPU if performance is not important or buy a used one (which is what I'd do for such an old system).

While incompatibilities could happen, GPUs usually are backward compatible with most motherboards.
