I have the modem and router upstairs in my house, with all my computers hooked up. But my wife wants to have the home line because she panic's that we are getting thousands of calls a day on it. I currently don't have the phone line hooked up as it was simply irritating me. Is there any way i can have my phone line, run to her space from the router/modem combo upstairs, without drilling any holes or doing some major rewiring? I have in wall phone ports if that helps.

Do you have POTS or VoIP? I'm assuming VoIP since you indicate the phone line from the modem.

Simply plug the the phone line from the modem to a wall outlet, then one phone connected in her room. No need to have a phone connected at any other outlet.

Hopefully this...

Hopefully this helps. If not, you may need to explain more about your setup and any obstacles that prevents you from connecting it in this manner.
