Help! I don't know what caused it, but recently, most of my games started crashing shortly after I start them up. Most will start, show whatever the first screen is (like the "Please Stand By" screen on Fallout 3), the boot me back to the desktop while an error message comes up saying "*game* has stopped working." A lot of the games don't even get past the little splash screen they show before they start, like Arkham Origins, before the message comes up. Not all of my games crash (Dark Souls 2, WatchDogs and Tomb Raider, to name a few), but most of them do. I tried updating DirectX, updating my graphics drivers, rolling back my graphics drivers, even tried doing a repair install of windows 7, which failed for some reason. I don't know what else to do. Has anyone run into this problem before and was able to fix it?

Everything seems to be in order. Besides, if it was a memory issue, would that affect the entire system instead of just the games, or at the very least affect ALL the games?

I checked the BIOS to make sure nothing was overclocked and that the memory settings were all set to the manufacturer's specs. Everything is set properly, but I'm still experiencing crashes, so that tells me the hardware is probably not the problem.
