Hello

Sorry this is my first post on the forums here.
But I gonna be upgrading my computer from my Pentium G630 2.7 ghz to an i5 - 4460 but I was wondering if the i5 would bottleneck my Geforce GT 610 Graphics Card.
So I was hoping you guys could help me out.

Thanks

It will not bottleneck. That's a really strong CPU. The integrated graphics (Intel HD 4600) on that CPU would be stronger than that GT 610 FYI.

But like would it run games better than before? Like I'm currently playing CS GO at 60 fps and was hoping with the new processor I could get 80 to 100 fps

You can't even compare Pentium to an i5. It would be a HUGE improvement! It's like day and night difference.
If you're mostly playing CS and getting 60+ FPS then why would you upgrade?
Either way i5-4460 is a great CPU in general and is great for gaming.

But going back to my other question would I be able to run games like CS GO at higher FPS?

The stronger is cpu is only going to help a little bit because the GT610 is so weak. The 610 is not going to run high fps with any cpu. It's really more of a movie watching video card. It's even going to struggle with 720p.

Your Pentium with something like a GTX740 or 750 would perform better in games.

Probably slightly. Remember that even the integrated graphics would be superior to that card, so there wouldn't be a point of keeping it. Pick up a GTX 750/750 Ti or R7 260X.

Will my Pentium G630 2.7 ghz bottleneck a GTX 750 Ti tho?

Probably slightly, but it would still be much faster than a better CPU with the GT 610. Upgrade your video card first, then if you have the funds in the future your CPU can be upgraded. Maybe finding a used Sandy Bridge i5 quad core like an i5-2400 could cut on cost because then you wouldn't have to upgrade the motherboard.
