I want to put an EVGA Gerforce GTX 750ti (not sc or ftw) does the 300w power supply support it (just making it clear that I haven't upgraded anything in it yet so it is completely stock)

Most 300W PSUs in Dell machines will support any GTX 750 Ti that does not require a 6 pin PCIe power cable.
Nvidia recommends a 300W PSU minimum for that card: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-750-ti/specifications

Yes it will work. The 750ti is awesome for this very reason.

I tried running an EVGA GTX 750 TI SC in a stock Inspiron 3847 with an i5-4460 processor and ran into problems when playing graphically intensive games such as Rocket League and Batman Arkham. With RL, upon game launch the PC would shut down.

EVGA suspected the power supply and suggested downloading PrecisionX and underclocking the card. Sure enough the games worked fine then. The problem is that the stock power supply only provides a maximum of 18A on the +12V rails whereas the card requires a minimum of 20A.
