I'm facing this message "please insert a disk in to G drive disk "when i tried to open my flash drive(Using Toshiba Flash drive), the mistake I did is, I deleted the volume of flash drive in the disk management , i tired to install HP/Toshiba utility basic format tool, both tolls detect the device but unable to format it. HP utility tool gives message there is no media, and Toshiba utility tools give Format Fail message.

Please give me solution

Thanks

No worries, after all I'm here to help. :)
First I'd recommend that you take a look at this video here, which might help you solve your issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8xMX1InnII
Then if this doesn't help, I'd suggest that you take a look at this thread on how to format and partition via Linux Live CD/USB: http://askubuntu.com/questions/46462/how-do-i-erase-format-a-harddisk-from-a-live-cd (it should be the same for a flash drive, just be careful what you choose so that you don't format some other drive by mistake)

Good luck!
Hey AsifAshraf1. I'd recommend that you try the drive with another computer to see if the same thing happens again. What does it say about the drive when you open Disk Management? Here's how to open it: How to access Disk Management in Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 to manage hard drives
Perhaps you could also try uninstalling the device from Device Manager and see if it's OK when you reconnect it and it installs its drivers again.
You could also try reformatting it via Linux Live USB/CD.

Hope that helps.

Hi Boogieman_WD,

Thanks for giving your precious time to my issue.

I tried to connect flash drive on another system but hut the status is same, In the Disk Management there are two Disk, Disk 0 and Disk 1 both are Online.
Disk 1 is removable (D: in my case) it is not showing any volume (as I mentioned in earlier I have deleted the Volume). In device manager it is also showing GENERIC USB Mass Stroge USB Device.

Could you please guide me how I can reformat it Via Linux USB/CD.

Thanks :)
Asif
