I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 Laptop and a Lenovo 80E3 Laptop. I have the money to buy a 4gb ram. I don't know which one I should add it to and which is better for gaming. I play games like Goat Simulator, Minecraft etc. Or is there a way to add/upgrade processors without changing the motherboard coz my Lenovo PC has just a 1.35 GHz Processor..
These are the their system information-

Dell Inspiron 6400
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
Processor: Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2300 @ 1.66GHz 1.66GHz (Dual Core I think)
VRAM: I think it is 251MB
Physical Memory(RAM) : 2GB

Lenovo 80E3
OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit
Processor: AMD E1-6010 APU with AMD Radeon R2 Graphics 1.35GHz
VRAM: 882MB
Physical Memory(RAM): 2GB (1.7Gb usable)

Doesn't the Dell have a better processor? (1.66GHz+1.66Ghz = 3.32 GHz) coz its a dual core processor??
and I think Goat Simulator needs 2.0GHz. I am also adding 4.0GB RAM to one of the two. Do I have to change the processor of the Lenovo PC because it is 1.35 GHz or something?
If you could please tell me the reasons for your answers it would be great! Thanks

Thanks. So should I buy a new processor and 2gb ram or only a 4gb ram? That was also in my question. BTW do i have to change the motherboard?? if yes is the process expensive?? Thanks for your patience.

You may be able to upgrade the processor on your inspiron 6400 but the supported CPUs are rare and overpriced.

You will have to replace the entire motherboard with your lenovo, that CPU is soldered to the board I think. I don't have enough knowedge about your laptop to tell you how easy or hard this would be, or even how much it would cost.

You may be able to change the CPU (if it isn't soldered in), but again, there is only so minimal performance increase that I don't think it would be worth.

edit: didn't know you were already going for 4GB of RAM

Well, you should be perfectly fine for your games. Goat Simulator may run at 20-30 FPS on low settings though. I hope that is fine to you.

As long as it works yeah sure. I don't really mind about graphics unless its pixelated or even if it is a bit slow. You mean on my Lenovo right?

So I checked Lenovo's via Google and found out you are talking about gaming laptop.
I'll double what @CAaronD says, buy Lenovo's due to the fact AMD APUs' intergated graphics are generally better than Intel's.

Thank you so much. But don't know how to run goat simulator at 20-30 FPS. Do I need to start a new thread for this?? I am still with 2gb ram. Does it need the 4gb ram to run in low settings? Thanks

It does not necessarily need 4GB to run. But with other applications running along with Goat Sim, you might hit over 2GB RAM usage. You should try running Goat Sim first and check your RAM usage levels. Goat Sim says that the minimum RAM requirement is 2GB.
