Hello,

I am currently building a computer for 3d modeling and maya 2014.

I am wondering if the motherboard I'm getting is for one, a good motherboard, and two, if it is compatible with my processor. I do not plan on over clocking by the way.

I checked my build on pcpartpicker, and I got 2 messages:
"Rosewill BlackHawk ATX Mid Tower Case has front panel USB 3.0 ports, but the MSI 970A-G46 ATX AM3+ Motherboard does not have onboard USB 3.0 headers.
"Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs."

I don't know whether this is a concern, or its not a big deal.

My setup is:
Rosewill blackhawk ATX mid tower
Seagate hybrid drive 1TB
MSI 970a-G43 motherboard
Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 with 2gb of video
AMD FX-8350 4.0 Ghz Processor
EVGA 850w Power Supply
G.Skill ripjaw series 16gb memory
Windows 7 pro
Samsung SATA DVD/CD rom drive

Sorry if this is confusing, I just want to know if this setup is good to go, and the motherboard is good.

Thanks,

for the price id say its worth it, it has crossfire and sli support which is always good for future upgrades, the processor is pretty good (not the best) but i wouldnt get the gtx 960, get the r9 280x as its cheaper and has more vram. everything else looks good :)

motherboard supports the cpu btw :).

Ok, I am going for the Radeon R9 280x sapphire. More vram is good for me.

I won't be doing any rendering in a different program most likely.

Also, CTurbo, I like the motherboard you recommended and the graphics card. I will go with that motherboard and graphics card.

Thanks for the help everyone.
