I'm booting my pc with a bootable usb, when I'm creating a partition with disk utility, it stuck at **"preparing to partition disk"**for a whole day. So i began to wonder, should i reformat my whole PC? I have Windows already installed, i don't really want to reformat as it is really tedious. And, i do set my bios sata mode to "AHCI"
Thanks for answering anyway!
PS: If i do need to reformat, how can i completely restore all the data's and application on my PC?

EDIT: I can't even boot into the bootable usb now, it stucks at the apple logo with a loading bar

You should go here to view the best source for hackintosh advice and support on the 'Net:

Keep in mind that OSX uses a different filesystem than used by Windows, so yes, you'll have to format the partition where you intend to install OSX.
