1866 with CL9 is the sweet spot.. But 2400 with CL11 is faster in all ways than the 1866. If you're asking for gaming, don't go over 1866 MHz (you'll never notice a difference in performance at higher RAM speeds).

If you find 1866 and 2400 at very less price difference, then you can buy 2400 MHz, if you're asking this question for a gaming system. For intel 4th gen CPUs:

MB manufacturers cannot test every single memory out there. If there is any other brand memory with the same speed, voltage, timings and speed listed in the support list, then G.Skill of that same spec will work too. No problems.

You mobo's memory support list has G.Skill 4 GB 2400MHz, C11 stick as supported in the list. So, the 4, 8, 16, 32 GB sticks of any other series (Trident, tridentX, Sniper, Ares, Ripjwas, etc) will also work without any problems. Just make sure you get the 1.5V RAM stick.
