The specs on the board say "CPU Bus: 800/533 MHz FSB"

Im so I thought this meant 800Mhz top speed allowed :S

I got a spare E7500 2.93Ghz will this work? and if not why not

good idea mate found second hand for £8 cex so board and cpu £28 total and i got the rest already spare haha :)

The link I posted is for the motherboard's data on Foxconn's website, included in the page is the cpu support list. That is where I got the E4700 listing from. As to the E7400, I assume because Foxconn don't list it it doesn't work. As to the reason why it might not work, I'm no expert and can only speculate because I don't know enough about the chip.
