Problem connecting xbox 360 to monitor.

Hi,i know that this subject has been discussed again but i think that i meet all specifications but..
my monitor is LG FLATRON IPS231(it supports HDCP protocole,http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-IPS231P-BN-led-monitor) and i am trying to connect my 360 to it via HDMI - DVI-D(http://www.skroutz.gr/s/4393708/Turbo-X-HDMI-female-DVI-D-male.html) adapter and an hdmi cable of course but when i turn on my xbox it shows nothing,the monitor switches off and on all the time,i tried to change some settings using the monitor's buttons but it did not respond..

by the way, how you wanna get audio out of this configuration?

Is there video through AV cable? Does the 360 work on a HDMI TV or scart or composite?

adapter plus cable could be a problem

would try this:

HDMI to DVI should definitely work, like I said, the DVI/HDMI Adapter could be the problem or a xbox video option is set wrong.

Yes it will, but it´s analog (VGA), the quality is not as good as HDMI/DVI, but will work.

Additionally you could buy an adapter for audio like this, to plug the connectors of the 360 cable into your monitor speakers:
