Hello,

I'm having problems with my GTX970. Each time i try to install the drivers I get a DPC Watchdog violation.

After the crash i often can't load the OS back and just get a black screen. After several reboots the system seems to work again. I was actually able to install the drivers once but keep getting this crash.

At first I didn't know what was causing the crash so i tried a few things suggested online but they don't work.

I'm reinstalling Windows now, will do all the OS updates and then go trough drivers fro my Mobo, SSD and GPU.

Any advice please?

Hi,

It's a new PC. I have had it up an running albeit with lots of crashes for a few days. So it''s new but it did let me install drivers (from the disc) before. Since then I had crashes and decided to reinstall Windows.

I tried a new OS install and then tried installing the device driver for the GPU and it crashed almost instantly. When I rebooted, the device was in device manager but then started crashing again. This is so frustrating

It seems like a common problem. A lot of posts i've seen say the PSU wasn't enough - I have a HX850i Corsair. Does anyone think that could be the problem?

Crashes when I try to install... but otherwise seems okay.
