since i build my system i have used these ram sticks:

Module 1: 2.048 MB Micron Technology DDR3 @ 667 MHz
Module 2: 4.096 MB Hyundai Electronics DDR3 @ 667 MHz

i don't really think the 667 MHz speed is right though....

however, i have heard that using different value's of ram sticks and different brands together can decrease performance of the system.

so what do you guys think?
will my system run better with new ram, will it increase my CPU's performance?

Using different capacities/brands/speeds/etc. can definitely lead to issues, but that's not always the case. A lot of the OEMs actually do that. Your DD3 isn't actually running at 667 though, it's 667*2 which is 1333 MHz (a pretty standard DDR3 speed). New RAM could increase performance by a bit, but I don't think you are going to see huge leaps in most applications, even in most games.

when i have 10 chrome tabs open and around 5 background programs running new opened programs tend to get stuck sometimes or run slower, will getting new ram prevent this?

and would getting new ram have any improvements on streaming games and video editing?

Your system will run better if the ram modules are running in dual channel, with identical sticks. That being said, you should run into any issues with mix and matching the sticks. But you will get a slightly higher performance with dual channel. And regarding the 667 mhz, it is actually running at twice that speed so nothing to worry about.
