my windows 7 laptop will not connect to the internet wirelessly, it will only connect through ethernet cable but that defeats

Solution
Some laptops enable their wireless adapter byu a small switch on the front or side whereas others use one of the Function keys, sometimes in conjunction with the Fn key. Is there a wireless icon on one of those Function keys?

If it is turned on, do you see any wireless networks when you click the icon in the taskbar?

Solution
Need much more info (assuming Saga's info was not the issue).

Have you connected to that network before?
Have you tried connecting to other wifi networks?
What happens when you try to connect to a network?
Does it even show any wifi networks in the list?
Do you get any type of error message?
Does the windows wireless network tool say it is being managed by a different application?
