Hi all.
I am trying to install windows 7 64 bit from a DVD onto my new SSD.
My system is as follows, ASUS Formula IV, AMD 1090T, 8GB ram, crucial 256GB SSD, Sapphire HD 7770.
When i try and boot from DVD i get to the starting windows screen with the logo on with no problem. Then when the menu is supposed to load to start the instillation i just get a bright screen which looks like it has a graphics card problem like when a graphics card is running too hot and failing.
I have tried using a standard sata hdd instead of the SSD
I have tried another windows DVD.
I have reduced the ram to 2GB (1 Stick) and run mem test with no error found
I have reseated the graphics card
I have tried the graphics card in a different PCIE slot
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be?
