Is it better to put my PSU upright or upside down?

I have a cx750m and my case is a 760t, it has a dust filter on the bottom, so which way should i orient my psu, taking air from my carpet or taking air from my gpu?

If you have a dust filter on the bottom, I would take air from the carpet as it will keep the PSU cooler than using air which has been heated by your GPUs

Let the PSU intake fresh air from outside the case, that is how most PSUs are intended to be mounted. Not to mention they run cooler this way too.
If you didnt have the dust filter, I would consider other options as lint (from the carpet) can be troublesome, its essentially larger dust.
