So I have a Samsung pro series 256gb SSD. I've been using it for a few months now. This is the strangest thing I've ever had happen in my entire computing experience.

As the title states I'm having very odd issues. The Drive no longer boots and I cant install an operating system onto it. All OS install discs cant seem to detect it. When I boot to my other hard drive I can see it though. However, its now 128gb. I currently have it plugged into my external bay so I can guarantee that this is the correct hard drive. But as you can see in this picture, it's 128gb with no unallocated space or other formats. Where is the other half of the hard drive?

This is a picture of the funky corrupt text I'm getting some it's properties window.

It also reports this corrupt looking strange style text in the bios too when it's plugged into a sata port on the motherboard.

Also, in Samsung magician, it no longer recognises the hard drive at all. Even though I can see it in Disk Management.

To me it seems that during the firmware update it somehow corrupted something else other than the main memory. The thing is that it still works, it's just half the size and now nothing detects it as a drive that I can install an OS onto.

I don't really know what to do and I'm not too sure what other information would be helpful. I don't think anyone else has experience this problem before from my searching's of the internet.

Thanks for you help in advance.
