Buzzing sound when playing games? Coil whine from GPU/PSU or something else?

Hi, I built a computer a few months ago and it has been great, but the last month or so whenever I open a game, a buzzing sound immediately begins. Its through both the speaker and headphones so its not either of those. If I alt-tab out of a game, the sound becomes very faint but still noticable. Im really not sure what it could be, since I have little experience in troubleshooting hardware issues. Googling the issue is like WedMD, every site has a different solution. Im a little worried my cpu cooler (ShadowRock 2) is very big and could be bending the motherboard/crushing the cpu but that might be me being paranoid, as the compute rruns fine except for the buzzing sound. Any ideas what it could be?

My rig is
MB:GIGABYTE Z97X-SLI
CPU: I5 4690K (with a ShadowRock 2 as its fan/heatsink)
GPU:EVGA GTX 660
PSU: EVGA Supernova NEX650G.

Its not volume, as there shouldnt be static regardless. Unless you think im blasting game sounds into my ears, which I am not. I usually keep the volume around 25%. That also wouldnt explain the alt-tabbing.
