Also why are you going with an h81 board with the 4690k? The h81 chipset can't overclock. You have to get a z97 board for that.
This build will be much better

H97 motherboard with a "k" Cpu? Was that done intentionally?

Mine will perform better because of the better gpu plus it has better overclocking headroom courtesy of the antec psu (made by seasonic btw).
It has a better mobo and dual channel RAM.

So, yeah it will perform better.

Did you factor in the gpu? 280x better than 280. Also that build is $724 without rebates. The 4690k is obviously a better cpu but it will perform similarly to the 4460 because the are bottle-necked by the gpu. The spec 03 is a better case but it has no impact on the performance.

Wasn't even paying attention to the video cards. Just saw 280 and went from there. So yeah, better performance with the 280x over the 280. HOWever, I would pay the extra 6 dollars for the Spec 03 case. Nicer options, and while it doesn't impact performance, it'll just plain end up being easier to work with, which is worth quite a bit in my opinion.
