Hey guys,
So i'm back with the same issue i've been having with my pc. I have posted numerous threads on this issue and still can't seem to find a solution. I'm having an issue with my motherboard displaying a red vga light and unable to connect to my monitor. I've done all the possible trouble shoots from checking ram, switching pci-slots, making sure all wires are connect properly and i still get the same issue with a red vga light using my R9-270x. I know people will mention RMA my card which i did and got back today. Hoping it was all fixed i popped it in and BAM red light. I have also RMA my power supply a 600w corsair for a brand new 600 watt evga. My on board display works and i don't know if this helps or not but i did use an older video card, one which requires no power supply coords and windows works. I am able to connect to the monitor with my video card if i power my pc on and off for like 10+ times, it magically picks up a signal and works. I've tried to hook up my card to a HDMI and i still have the same issue. If anyone has any idea on what could be the issue i would love to know. My bios is up to date 2012 version which i believe is the latest for my motherboard my card is updated too.

the drop a new bios file for your mb.
Z97-A BIOS 2205
1.Support 5th-Generation Intel Core Processors
2.Support USB 3.1
3.Support NVMe

the red cpu can happen if the 8 pin power cable is the wrong one used or the pins are to short. you can also see the error if the cpu heat sink if it no stock unit is on too tight. also check in the pci slot for bent pins. also make sure there no card in the pci slot next to the video card. if there is one it can use the same irq and memory range and the video card and can cause an issue. the last can be a bad chip on the mb. if your mb has setting to change the video card slot from pci 3.0 to pci 2.0 mode try chaning the mode and see if the video card works. the last issue can be with the mb most new mb have anti surge feature. if this chip is bad it can see the inrush of the gpu current as a fault and not post. (some of the older nvidia cards had there power reg mod to non nvidia spec this caused a lot of mb not to post).

Hey I have the exact same problem as well. Motherboard Asus Z97-A and GTX760 GPU, need to reboot manually several times just to get the monitor to show up.

My problem happened only after I did a most recent BIOS update though, any clue from this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Im getting the exact same problem, i can power up 10 times perfectly fine, then 1 time it will not and the VGA light will be on, reset can either go with it working or same again, like a lotto..
