Socket:1150
Case: Thermaltake level 10 GT Snow Ed

I am kind of worried about water cooling because I have never done it before, but it's time to replace my stock heatsink/fan. My CPU is hitting around 50 deg cels during a mild load. I would like to see that number a lot lower. I am looking for a water cooling system that has little or no maintenance. I would like to spend under $100 if possible. (Cheaper is better, but I don't want a piece of crap.

Solution
A h100i is $100 and will cool your CPU very well, it is effectively maintenance free, as in when it dies it is dead, but that will be a while down the road.

I like the sound of that. Now in regards to the 200mm color shift fan that's currently at the top of my case; would that need to be removed to install the h100i?

Some cases support front mounts , or rear or bottom mounts, however, the easiest place will be the top, of course one should measure that it will fit as it is slightly more that 240 mm due to the part where the hoses come off of it, the good news is is that almost every full ATX case supports it, and even most mid ATX cases will.

Thank you very much. I have another question in regards to the h100i and h100i gtx. Which one is better? I've attempted to look at the differences on the corsair website, but I am yet to see a real difference. Also which would you choose?

Thanks again! and the last question that I can think of is, what is a typical life span for the h100i? I don't want to be spending another $100 or so in 6 months from now.

Unless you get a bad one, it should last at least two years, really it is the very slow escape of water through the tubing over time (like evaporation) that ends up ruining the cooler but as mentioned above that will be two or more years down the road even with only decent luck. hypothetically it will only fail when the pump fails, something that rarely happens before something else goes. So in effect you can assuredly expect at least two years from it, and even that is probably low.
