u can find an older version of utorrent that doesn't have all the bells and whistles that bloat the ram. plain old 32bit version will do..u don't need 64bit version for torrents. here, i found one for u = http://www.filehippo.com/download_utorrent/2253/

another suggestion - if u are using that machine as a leech and seed box, setup a 2nd hd just for the torrents and it's files..leave the os boot drive alone cause it likes having to use it's swapfile on it as well and hogs up the system with so many accessing paths running on it, best to have dedicated hdd or ssd for torrents( note, don't use usb drive cause the drive file system will fail after a few months of usage due to some odd flaw in the usb to sata interface causing it to not buffer properly for 24/7 usage). most pc's have 2-10 onboard drive ports, find a spare port for the drive u need for ur torrents.(i use drive for os/apps, drive for games, drive for torrents, drives for various media types, and usb dock for backup and storage when i need to clear out some space but don't want to lose data)
