I want to choose either to keep mine or to trade it with this specs

(SPECS I CAN TRADE TO)

i5 2500k
32GB RAM
ASUS MOTHERBOARD
512 GB SSD
3TB HDD
750W Bronze
R9 280x 3GB

or (MY SPECS)

i5 4460
8GB RAM
MSI MOTHERBOARD
256 GB SSD
1TB HDD
600W Bronze
GTX 970 4GB

Solution

the first is just a bit better ( when you inclede the OCing capacity)

but you would be limited by vram in 3d applications

i would sugest you to stick with your rig , or just get the 970 into the traded rig

I would definitely say your current specs. The only thing better is the RAM and storage space. Though it does matters what you are doing. If you are just gaming then ohhh man keep your current specs for sure.

For all intents and purposes both builds are good ones. Are you like myself and want to have the best of everything? If so, then choose the trade because I can't see ant negatives in the trade up machine.

With the trade processor, it is an unlocked version so you are able to use the processor to its fullest extent and that allows for more overclocking and/or advanced configuration.

I guess it comes down to, what do you really want? :bounce:

to put it simply

CPU
OC - trade
GPU- dont trade

RAM - if gaming - no trade if videoediting/rendering- Yes

memory - not worth it if you are only going to use your current rig for 2 yrs

purpose

gaming - no trade
3d/video software- trade
