So this is a bit of a puzzler for me as I have been trying to figure this out for the last few weeks but have had no success. Basically, this all started about 3 weeks ago. I mainly play CS:GO, and I started noticing that after letting go of one of the movement keys, in example D to strafe right, I will physically release the key, but my character will continue to move in that direction for an extra half second or so. This originally started happening maybe once every few hours, and more recently has been happening a few times every half hour. I use a mechanical keyboard (Corsair K70) that is about 2 years old, so I thought it could be keyboard chattering causing the issue. I actually went out and bought a brand new keyboard to see if this was the issue, but the same thing is happening. Now, within the last few days, the mouse will lock up when the keyboard glitch happens. This only lasts for half of a second normally, and I only started noticing it in CS:GO. The LEDs on the keyboard/mouse do not shut off as if they stop receiving power while this happens.
Things I have already tried:
I am running out of things to try, and was wondering if it could be an issue with the USB ports shorting or something along those lines?
Anyways, I apologize for the wall of text but it's such a weird issue that this was the best way I could explain it, and hopefully someone will have an idea as to what could be going wrong or some other steps I can take to try and remedy this.
Thanks!
Things I have already tried:
Wiping and reinstalling drivers for mouse/keyboard
Changing USB ports
Different mice/keyboard combinations
System restore to before it started happening
Windows repair
Reinstalling game
