Hello,
My SSD contains an original windows 8 for Toshiba Qosmio. I wanted to clone the SSD using acronis to put the original windows 8 back to the 1TB HDD.
That what i did:
- I inserted the acronis bootable disk, i clicked on clone disk, i selected the disk and here's the problem: "An empty disk cannot be selected as a source disk for cloning"!
What's the problem?
Thanks.

Solution
Not being there, I'm guessing a bit, but I would think you selected the wrong drives for the cloning process'(source & destination(),
I actually just did this yesterday to my daughters Win8 laptop, worked fine.
Double check that you selected the SSD as the source & 1tb as the destination.
