I should start by mentioning that I have never before built a computer and have no experience with such. I have no previous education with computers either and only a cursory knowledge of technical jargon and PC components. I have an old Gateway DX4860-UR14P that comes stock with a Gateway DX4860 motherboard (I have searched all over and every source I've come across has said the build and the motherboard share the same name). I've been searching online for a User Guide Manual to this specific motherboard and have only been able to come up with a Troubleshooting and Quickstart Guide which offers no information on wiring the I/O panel to the case (on this particular motherboard it's called the Front Panel). There is a small legend which has labeled what goes where however pin 5 is missing and that's where I'm supposed to connect my Reset Switch. I'm at a loss at this point. Can anyone help?

Solution
You do not need to connect the Reset Switch. Most front panels don't have that anyway. The reset switch is mostly used in servers to quickly reboot a computer. The same action can be done by holding down the power button for 5 seconds.

Glad I could solve your problem, have a nice day too!
Just to point out that 2 of the pins missing are for the Reset switch and the 3 other are for the integrated speaker.
Both of them are optional. In fact, you only need to connect the power button to boot the computer, even the LEDs can be left out if you desired.
