It appears to be a socket 775, so it's safe to say you can. My question is, what are you using this for? A lot of modern processors for the cheap can absolutely crush this setup without breaking a sweat. How much will you pay for this board? It might be worthwhile too look into upgrading.

It should work man. I recommend upgrading, saving your pennies and dimes for a better build. You can build a decent gaming rig for 600-700 euros. This board should be compatible with everything you need.

Hi,

Be sure the dimension of the S5000X S5000XVNSAS fit with the xw6600 case, because they're not the same dimension, AND check the PSU connections to be sure it's the same as your original mainboard.

The original mainboard model of the xw6600 is 440307-001

Thanks for your replays ... after checking my original motherboard specs, it has 2 x pci express 16 slots and i think that my original specs are a bit higher than the S5000X S5000XVNSAS ... i think i will buy the same board from serverworlds (95$).
Thanks for your replays ... that was helpful
