So after some 20 min raging in BIOS because my "1600" RAM is running on wrong 1066...i checked once more the model of my RAM and i was shocked...instead of buying 1600mhz ram i bought 1066 one....now iam really angry, how could i be so blind... i got these 2 sticks G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066...

So my question is will 1066mhz have a big impact on my gaming performance?

Sure we do :)
I get that your dissapointed, because you wanted something different, but it really doesn't make that big a difference. Plus, you propably have tighter timings on those 1066s, so you should be good. you wouldn't tell the difference while gaming, I'm sure, but if it bugs you that much, why don't you overclock them, like faalin and tea urchin suggested?

well i guess you are right then, i should try to overclock them and see what that does for me, should i go for 1333? and how safe is it really to OC ram? never heard of it tbh...
