Well the PSU on my secondary gaming computer let go after I disconnected the keyboard while the computer was still on. As we all know it, the PSU took the motherboard out with it.
I have never asked for advice when it comes to components for my computers; however this is a unique situation. The components I need are 3 or 4 generations old now and the parts are becoming ludicrously priced. I usually go overkill but now I just want something that will fit my needs with nothing extra.
Current build:
MOBO: [strike]Asus P8 Z77[/strike]
CPU: i7-2600 - (not a k model)
CPU cooler: Cooler master EVO 212
GPU: x2 EVGA 660 ti SLi
Ram: 16gb Corsair Dominator pro @ 2400Mhz
PSU: [strike]Rocketphish 700w[/strike] Seasonic Platinum 860w XP2
HDD: x2 Western Digital 7200RPM 640GB
Mouse: Logitech MX-518
Keyboard: Rosewill Mechanical
OS: Windows 7 Pro
I do not need the motherboard to be CPU Overclock capable but I do need the ram to run at 2400mhz with two PCI-E slots for SLI. My budget is $160. Thank you.
