I have 1600$, prefer it to be a little lower. What is the best gaming build for my budget? I want to be able to play games like Arkham and witcher 3 on ultra. Is their a new graphics card coming out soon that i should wait for? Thank you

I still don't think the 970 alone justifies a 5820K. However, if we drop the 480GB SSD for a 1TB HDD, we should be able to afford a second 970. That should be powerful enough to go ultra on any upcoming game, and the expansion can come later as an SSD upgrade.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor ($373.95 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: MSI X99S SLI Plus ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($199.99 @ Amazon)...

The R9 300 series will possibly be coming out soon. There's no specific launch date, but most people seem to think they should be out by summer. If the rumours are true, it might be worth waiting for that, since they show a lot of power from those graphics cards.

Why bother going with a 5820K? The performance gain over a 4790K or even a 4690K for gaming is minimal, and it only raises the cost by at least $100. If you recommended SLI 970's (which we should be able to fit in the $1600 budget) then the extra PCIe lanes become good, but otherwise the 5820K isn't really worth the money.

I was going with something a little future proof that you can build upon since the budget was a generous $1600.

I'd also recommend a nicer case, specially if we want it to last long. But that comes down more to personal preference.

That's a good idea, I definitely agree with this build.
