What do you think of this?
Could it be any better?
I want the very best, for around that much $. Did I achieve that?
I am only using this for gaming so i want only the best gaming components.
I heard that the motherboard i picked is the best for gaming is that true?
Is my PSU good?
Is the ram i picked good?
Thanks

The Seasonic M12II EVO Edition SS-620GM2 620W is not an Intel Haswell Processor Ready PSU.

Get the XFX XTR Series P1-650B-BEFX 650W. Its OEM is Seasonic. It's more efficient and also fully modular. It's definitely Intel Haswell Processor Ready since it's based on a more modern DC-to-DC circuit design whereas the Seasonic M12II EVO Edition SS-620GM2 620W is based on the older group regulated circuit design.

I do, up the psu to something like an evga 750w. Though it says the minimum is 620w, the psu may really ramp up to the point of being annoyingly loud and it does not have 2 8 pins built in so you will have to use converters that come with the card.

Looks great. Are you sure 1TB for media storage will be enough? At this price point, another $50 could get you a 3TB drive. You don't need a particularly fast one- a "green" 5900rpm drive would be fine.

Because of how "green" green drives are the constant speeding up and stopping of the platter greatly decreases the lifespan of the drive. I would not suggestion a green unless you plan to store large projects that you rarely even access

You could alternatively use the "red" drives normally meant for NAS which are designed to handle the rigors of constant access. A little more money though. Still "green" drives have lifespans measured in years, most MTBF is a decade or longer and as a media drive, it's probably not going to get pounded like a NAS drive so I'd still recommend them. Then again, the price diff between green and normal one probably isn't that much. I'm just saying, don't go for a Barracuda or a Caviar Black- not worth it for media drives.
