My pc wont recognise my hdd

My pc will recognize my ssd and my optical drive but not my hdd for some reason, it shows it in the bios but not on windows file explorer it shows D: as my optical drive. Need help!

does it see it in disk manager? what size is the drive?

Usually I make my CD drive the X drive so my HDDs are C and D

it does appear in device manager and its 1tb, My hdd is bus 1 my odd is bus 0 and ssd is bus 2

Then you need to create a partition(volume) and format it. Then it will show up

Hi there UnrezolvedKaos,

Is the HDD brand new or you've been using it for a while and suddenly disappeared?
If it is a new one, you need to go to Disk Management(Not Device Manager) and initialize, partition and format it as ss202sl already suggested.
In it is not a new one and you need the data stored on it, you need to go to Disk Management and see whether it has healthy partitions, file system or assigned letter. Depending on that, you will have to use data/partition recovery tool in order to retrieve the data or just assign a drive letter if missing.
