Hello. I am looking too upgrade my gaming pc with an MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB PhysX. I was wondering if my current pc specs can handle the 970, or if I have to upgrade some extra parts. Here are my current specs:

Motherboard: ASUA P8P67 PRO
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3 GHz S1155 6MB
Ram: 2* Kingston HyperX 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
GPU: AMD Radeon 7870

Yeah, you'll be absolutely fine. Are you aware of the recent 970 VRAM controversy?

If you don't care, go for it. No matter what anyone says the 2500k is still one of the best CPUs out there. It is old, sure, but PCI-E 3.0 is near worthless, and the 2500k keeps up fine with modern titles and pretty much everything you could want it to do - with some exceptions.
