I wiped my external HD clean using eraser. After the wipe, the computer shows the external HD as a BD-ROM Drive. Double-clicking the BD-ROM Drive icon brings up the "Application not found" message. I am unable to access or use the external HD now. Tried changing drive letter but still same problem persists.

I tried plugging in another external HD and it is still identified as a BD-ROM Drive. Double-clicking the BD-ROM Drive icon also brings up the "Application not found" message.

Grateful if anyone can provide a solution.

Hey 2836932747. If the drive is recognized in disk management, then I'd recommend that you partition and format it again by using it instead of 3rd party software to see if that fixes the issue. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do that: How to partition and format an HDD on Windows (8, 7, Vista, XP) and Mac OSX just click on the corresponding OS and follow the instructions.

Hope that helps.
