Do I need to reinstall windows when I upgrade my motherboard and cpu?

Currently I have a gigabyte motherboard and an fx 6300. I want to upgrade to a nicer gigabyte motherboard with sli and a 9590 cpu. I don't have my windows reinstall disc, so I was wondering if I have to reinstall windows. I know many people recommend it, but I thought since I'm upgrading to the same chipset it might not be necessary. thanks.

Going with a FX 9xxx series AMD CPU is a terrible choice. You will get better performance as well as a much cooler running system that uses less power with an i5 or i7. The only place the AMD chip competes is in video editing and rendering.
