Using AIO cooler block in custom loop

I have a DeepCool Captain 240 cooler and I wanted to know if it was feasible to change the tubing and refill it and get another 280mm rad and 2 GPU water blocks for the loop as well (Yes, I know this would definitely void the warranty).

I would think adding a second pump to help the block would be beneficial but im far from an expert so I figured I'd ask, especially if it turns out its not even necessary.

Only wanting to do this because Im considering dual 290Xs with water blocks and I wanted to do a cool looking custom loop with everything tied in and the Captain is a badass looking cooler (pardon my French)

Your cooler, the Captain is a weak cooler with mediocre performance, but ya it does look cool. Not sure by looking at it you could tape into the tubing as it has ridges and the fittings are non-standard. As you say you would need another pump because it has a weak pump made just for 1 CPU, most AIOs are also set up this way.

An option would be to leave the Captain on the CPU and add a loop to the 290Xs. The Kraken G10 with a Kraken CPU cooler would be one way to go, you would need 2 of each. Or perhaps a Swiftech set up on your GPUs with 1 pump and radiator with 2 blocks. The Swiftech would be a cleaner install and most effective and customizable. Also with the Swiftech you could simply cool everything with it and sell the...
