Hello guys, I recently purchased a new built with help from this great forum. Now I am in need of some more assistance.

My specs are

CPU - i7 4790

Mobo - Asus maximus vii hero

Graphics Card - G1 GTX 970

PSU - EVGA supernova 850 G2

Ok here's the issue, when I power the computer without the graphics card it starts good. I was able to install Windows 8.1 and set it to load to my SSD perfectly. I can surf the web watch videos do everything without my gtx 970. When I plug in my GTX 970 it doesn't load. The mobo light is on but there is no signal to my HDMI monitor with the graphics card on.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, if you guys need more specs let me know. Like I said I have installed windows and the drivers that came with the mobo.

I took a pic of my bios setup honestly I don't know if I should move something there or not. I uploaded the pic for you guys. Thanks.

Solution
lets start with easy stuff-

did you move the video cable from the motherboard to the video card?
did you connect the PCI-E cables to the video card?
are you sure the video card is fully seated and any lock on the slot is engaged onto the video card

Sorry, What do you mean by video cable, the hdmi? And yes it's well mounted and connected the pci-e cables to the card.

The neon light for the card also turns on.

Oh forgot to mention just in case anyone runs into this problem later... After a few tries I managed to get it working. It was working fine for like an hour then it would freeze and I would be force to restart the computer. This went on and on, it's a new built and the issue was immediate. Sometimes computer would reboot a few times over and over when starting. Eventually I got to the point were I got no signal to my monitor (the reason for this post). So after making sure all the cables were connected power was good everything was on right still got the same problem. I checked my 16 gig 2x8 gig corsair ram sticks. I took one out and ran it and it worked. I then exchanged ram sticks and tried it again and sure enough no signal. Everything is running great now.
