Hi there,

My friend who is doing architecture want to buy a new laptop. For the money she can spent I found two laptops.

The Asus comes with :
the new CPU AMD Quad Core FX-7600P
and with AMD HD Dual Graphics ( R5 M230 and Radeon R7 M270 DX) .

I checked online the CPU behaves similar to the inter i7 4510U.

What about the GPUs? Anyone have such laptop or got any benchmarks or how well they work together the 2 gpus?

The other option is to stick with the i7-4510U and a GTX 840M ( Lenovo).

Yes I know that but her bdget is limited up to £600. For other demanding software she can use a university pc. So similar to the specs I mentioned before what you suggest?

the 270m is about equal to the 840m in performance, it may be slightly better, also, that intel proccesor is only dual core so it is an equal match for the AMD one. If she is able to use her laptop for now, I would recommend keeping it, as there will be very little difference. If she needs a new one then the AMD laptop seems like a pretty acceptable solution.
