OK, just realized how old my 625 is, but do want to upgrade my video cards. I currently have the RADEON HD 4800 series(x2)(crossfire)Except for changing my Hard Drive and using Windows 7 instead of vista. My system is all original DELL. How high of an upgrade can I go? My system works great but am starting to see limitations with some of the newer games. I use a HD TV as a monitor so I am set at 1920x1080p.
I don't think I am confined to an AMD card. but the system is a Dell Factory AMD PHENOM II X$ 940 Processor 3.00GHz, 8gig mem, 64 Bit.
I was originally informed that RADEON HD 7770s' would TOP out what my "classic" system can handle. I have come across 1 GIG and 2 GIG memory type cards(about 35-50 dollar difference). Will the memory make that much of a difference with crossfire? Also, can anyone confirm that system memory for my configuration is topped out at 8 GIG as well? Will be incorporating this with my 4k TV. I hope.
Thanks for the help, again.
Frank
